The O.C.D. : “Obsessive Compulsive Dad”

FeaturedThe O.C.D. : “Obsessive Compulsive Dad”

O.C.D.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder – is a condition wherein a person experiences anxiety that gives him/her feelings, thoughts, sensations (obsessions) and makes that person commits certain actions repetitively.

Do you know that God is diagnosed with this?

You think it’s a crazy idea? Do you think that this condition is not normal? Well…not really… only …supernatural!

On one Sunday sermon, the speaker described God as a “crazy God”…an “obsessed God”, others laughed. Why? Sounds like a crazy idea? It is not, it is a fact. In fact, it is the truth! Who else like our GOD, the Father? Who else can do what He has done?

He created us into His likeness to be His children. We are His creations. This gives GOD the full right of ownership over us. He owns us…but not only once when he made us. He owned us twice! He created us… then He also bought us…He paid for his creations so that he can have us called His own…His and His alone.God already owned us, but then He also paid for us through His only Son Jesus who died on the cross. From death and sin He redeemed us. He took that penalty to save us and make us worthy of Him.

God signed His personal signature, His identity on you and me, His masterpiece, when He formed us. After that, He signed that signature again when he redeemed us from sin and death, through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ… now tell me, isn’t that obsessive? It is my friend! don’t deny it… there’s a God so loving and so passionate about you… HE’S CRAZY OVER YOU…! HE’S OBSESSED ABOUT YOU!

Baby hand in father's palm
The LORD is telling you my friend…
“…YOU ARE MINE, MY CHILD…I AM YOUR FATHER… I DELIGHT ON YOU MY PRECIOUS CREATION, THE VERY PURPOSE ON WHICH I HAVE FOR YOU…WHY I MADE YOU AFTER MY OWN IMAGE…YOU ARE MINE… NO ONE CAN TAKE YOU AWAY FROM ME, MY BELOVED POSSESSION…I’M CRAZY ABOUT YOU… I OWN YOU… OH, WAIT… I THINK I REALLY CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF YOU …RIGHT..! I’LL PUT A PRICE ON YOU… ON WHICH ONLY I COULD PAY…SO? HOW MUCH WOULD YOU COST..? OH, YES! I’LL PAY A HIGH PRICE FOR YOU… YOU ARE WORTH OF MY ONE AND ONLY SON JESUS’ LIFE…YOU ARE WORTH THE BLOOD HE WOULD SPILL… DON’T YOU SEE..?I’M OBSESSED WITH YOU! I NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE REALLY, REALLY MINE… SO THIS CRIMSON BLOOD WOULD COVER YOU… IT WILL NEVER EVER BE WASHED OUT FROM YOU… IT WOULD WASH AWAY ALL YOUR FLAWS…NOW YOU’RE PERFECT! YOU TRULY BELONG WITH ME NOW…I CAN SEE JESUS’ BLOOD ON YOU … WELL… THAT’S YOUR NEW IDENTITY! I CREATED YOU..! I REDEEMED YOU! SO YOU ARE REALLY REALLY MINE..! NOW… PLEASE… WILL YOU SAY IT TO ME TOO, THAT… “I’M YOURS…”

HELLO MY FRIEND!…I hope you enjoyed reading this…!

If by any chance you realized that you need this kind of obsessive love… well, it is not an accident that you read this blog.  You can really experience our Father’s love, just the kind of love you truly need… just believe and have faith, God is so obsessed to let you know how much He loves you… He is knocking at the door of your heart and you can choose to open it… believe that Jesus died for you and has given you a new life, an everlasting life… a new identity… worthy of being loved.

Here, is a prayer, you can talk to our LORD Jesus Christ in this way, what matters is what is inside your heart, and He deeply knows your inner cries, your true desires…

…LORD Jesus… I need Your love…the kind of love only You can give… thank You for forgiving my sins, thank You for saving me from death … thank You for Your blood on the cross, thank You, You died and live for me … here I am Lord… enter my life… I receive my new identity in You… thank you for the gift of eternal life. I surrender my life to You, my Savior and Lord. Take it, use it as You will.Amen.

Post-‘O-Graph #2. “Breaking through”. In the world of butterflies, the struggle is real. It is their reality that only 1 out of 10 can successfully come out of the pupa. With the weather and other natural conditions threatens completing their life cycle. Only few lives at the moment of struggling to come out and fly. This is a rare opportunity to witness one of them breaking through. (Photo by M. Bienn)

Hi this is IntrovertedPyramid, where stories are real, they can be yours.

Hoping to have various pieces from different lives of people, this collection will be titled “Post-O-Graph”. Found on the Art & Poetry section of this blog, different forms of artistic expressions would be featured.

Hoping to connect with many of you amazing individuals in the coming seasons! For now, I dedicate this to all those who are going through depression and anxiety. We do not give up no matter what!

Often, when the clouds at the day would break

and behind would reveal silver linings…

The hope we found underneath the dark moments,

that streak of light we call our blessing in disguise.

But I found mine not even when the sun dawns.

A moment only me and God knows.

So I took a shot to capture a beauty which exits

only when a night persists.

When evening comes and everyone dim all their lights,

and why darkness is called the “Night”.

Many choose to sleep. But when I find myself against

noises only I create, I wont fight the moment I’m awake.

I won’t mind if I miss on dreaming,

cause at these moments that I choose the reality I am living

and not just pressed down and barely breathing…

And that is when I see one Light remains shining on me,

where my weary eyes would keep on looking

The dark night gave way for small glitter that for me a silver lining.

Why atheists cannot be convinced that Jesus is God and God exists

As a christian and I share the gospel to a non-christian especially if he or she is an atheist, my chances to open up the conversation is already closed.
When an atheist says that he or she do not really believe in God, my opportunity of sharing and making them accept and believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior, and that He is God is already gone. The lines from John 1:12 which says “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” or the popular verse in John 3:16 will not really make sense anymore. They do not believe in God, period.
That is why it leaves us believers and non-believers to a never ending argument. But why is that arguing about God’s existence will not really lead those who do not believe to believe and why is convincing them will never work?
The Truth about Jesus Being God
Jesus is God because He is the only one in History, in the whole universe who was able to become human for us something that those who are already a human cannot do. Humans cannot be God. Though many of us tried. We tried to have more knowledge by acquiring degrees, finishing certain courses, read books, write books etc. We tried to lead and draw people to follow us by acquiring roles, power, position. We prove ourselves by constantly adding up to what we have already attained. Still those were not enough, we were still not God.
While Jesus, He never earned a degree. He did not wrote a book, claimed a political position, led an army or fighting squads. He did not need to quote several famous words of famous people when He gave speeches but He draw large crowds to Him. (Read reference: http://y-jesus.com/wwrj/3-is-jesus-god/)
A lot of times we try to convince others to believe in God by arguing how great He is. We forget to point out that He became low, humbled himself by becoming a human for us. Live like a human, feel what humans feel. Allowed himself to be subjected to human standards, even being subjected to death as a human. As a God He could stop it. But avoiding what we humans tried to avoid is not His way of showing why He is God. We could never understand it and that is what makes Him God.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, existing in the form of God,did not consider equality with God something to cling to, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8And being found in appearance as a man,He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross. 9Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the name above all names, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,to the glory of God the Father.(Philippians 2:6-11)
The reason why we will never convince atheists and other non-believers of Jesus is because convincing or arguing is not what we need to do. Always, the best way to reach out to people and share Christ to them is to stop being God. We should stop arguing like we know everything. We should always start by praying for those whom we want to share the gospel to and depend on God by the power of the Holy Spirit and stop pointless arguments that leads to nothing. Our everyday role should be to imitate Christ and wear His humility. “My atheist friends or neighbors may not respond to me, but I will still love them and will keep praying for them.”

A Colloquy over Coffee with the “Maker”

A Colloquy over Coffee with the “Maker”

“The coffee I had always been drinking was too bitter.

But just until now, I did not realize that.

For a long time, I had not really noticed that the coffee I’ve been drinking
tasted really good.

I was paying too much attention on how bad and bitter the day could be without really thanking and appreciating the good the coffee could bring.

CoffeeMakerDSC_1951 (4)

The coffee that You have brought me.

But what makes the coffee really good is, I am not paying attention anymore to how bad
and bitter this day could be. More than the coffee, I am now able to notice that while drinking my cup, I am with You!

Thank you for this really nice conversation with You! The coffee is not bitter anymore.
Now the coffee is better!”

Getting the right mix of your cup of coffee in the morning is like trying to get the right start of your day, either you will hate or love how it taste. Are you after a perfect mix of it or a bitter taste?

What kind of mix do you pour on your cup everyday? This could be the concerns we fill our thoughts daily. These thoughts can easily take our attention away from the good things. We prepare and try to make the “perfect” taste. We tend to take the coffee for granted and then forget about its Maker.

Have you ever prayed over coffee? Have you thanked God for the little things ?
Have you had a real conversation with the Maker?

No matter how we feel towards the day, and no matter how we ignore the Maker, His presence, knowing He is with us is better than a perfectly mixed coffee.

Starting a day with a right attitude makes a big difference. We can decide if we want the coffee bitter… or make it better.

1 Peter 5:7 says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you!” (New Living Translation)

Prayer is a real conversation with God. It is the truest conversation we have with God more than those times when we feel like God is talking to us through a great preacher’s sermon.Nor listening to the compelling words from famous pastors’ YouTube videos.

Our praying to God is the evidence of our utmost belief that our God is real, that He is alive. He is with us.

He is God, and that does not make Him unrelateable. And that He cares for us is His way of telling us that He can feel our human emotions. He can come down to our position and meet us where we are. It does not bother Him that He is an all-knowing God and He has to listen to people’s complains and worries.

Prayer is not superficial. It is a time and place where we see God as very personal. We come face to face and heart to heart with a genuinely caring Father. In prayer we experience God’s sincere love. He is telling us…

“I AM here, I AM waiting for you to talk with me.Tell me anything that disappoints you, frustrates you. I’ll listen…I won’t judge you. I would not condemn. In your anxiety do not sin, cast that burden to me, and I will give you peace.”

He is here. He just wants a simple and honest talk.
He looks forward to hearing our voices. He delights in spending time savoring the moment with His creations. He wants to hear how He made us react, respond to our surroundings, how He made us speak and express ourselves. We can be ourselves before God, in Him we are free. We can come and talk to Him.

Cafés in Baguio & La Trinidad, must try this 2017: Sneak & Pick

Cafés in Baguio & La Trinidad, must try this 2017: Sneak & Pick

Pine trees, fresh flowers, crisp green vegetables, strawberries and the cold weather. These are just some of the local treasures you look for in the Cordillera.

Aside from the homegrown goods and tourism spots, the region is also abundant with conscientious people. These type of folks are known for their diligence in what they do. Common but slightly noticeable is the gesture of engaging in small talks. Having influenced by their indigenous cultural background, you might see them gathered around and focused in a casual or intimate conversations.

With this kind of culture, locals would enjoy mini “fellowships”, small-group gatherings, and dates over coffee. These days, when you hear coffee, Baguio City and the province of Benguet is what you think of.

The people here knows how to keep it cool and calm. Another treasure of this region are their communities whose nature of warm, composed, and soft-spoken individuals rule in their atmosphere. They may be reserved, but one of their best qualities is they know how to treat a company. And a café is just where you want to be with these people.

The cold weather and the people who love good small talks make cafés thrive in this region. Session Road in Baguio has been too overrated now. Especially during tourists’ peak periods of February to May, you would want to avoid getting head and shoulders with the crowd. Here, check out new spots for cafés and coffee shops owned by our local Cordillera businessmen. It is worth a try!

COFFEE MATTERS. Isolating itself from the commercial road of Session, in Baguio City a small short escape can be at Coffee Matters, located at the same spot as Hebrews Café years ago. If sipping a warm cup of coffee while looking at a bird’s eye view of a city is what matters for your choice of café, then indeed Coffee Matters!

Coffeenight
@ Coffee Matters

If you are a true blue pure-black-coffee fan, sip a MUG! (say it with a lower tonal voice for emphasis) of brewed roasted cordi-coffee beans for less than a dollar at Coffee Matters. What’s special about them is that they serve it with muscovado sugar instead of regular one.

You can enjoy an awkwardly settling silence in the middle of the city while drinking coffee of your choice or have a nice serene jump-start of your day with their breakfast meals. Or try their specialties of frappes which is a personal mix of the owner. It is owned and run by a former Air Force (which you will realize when you read their menu, check it out) with his wife, who was former teacher in a school in Baguio, and their children.
